The Lid-Locker is a spring loaded hat rack made of steel components and powder coated in a beautiful metallic finish. Its function is to secure a hat in a suspended position in which nothing touches the crown or brim of the hat. This is accomplished with two crescent shaped bands at opposite ends of a spring loaded mechanism, which hold the hat from the inside out, at the sweatband. You'll simply hold your hat in the palm of your hand, at the base of its crown the same as when you put it on. Then place the inside of the sweatband on the crescent pad with the spring. Tip the hat slightly away from the rack and depress the spring then tip the back of the hat over the other crescent and release it. The Lid-Locker holds the hat suspended in place much as it is secured when you are wearing it, which minimizes damage to the hat. With options for your truck, living quarters or home, finally, a place to hang your hat where it won’t get sat on, knocked on the floor or mis-shaped.
In your living space, a single unit attaches to the wall with screws provided. The wall piece has two countersunk holes and can be mounted horizontally or vertically as needed.
